Help feed our unhoused residents in emergency shelter.

Under the direction of Mayor Steinberg, the Sacramento City Council formally declared an extreme weather emergency on Wednesday, January 27. The City has committed to increasing the number of City-funded motel vouchers in order to get people experiencing homelessness, who are trying to survive outdoors during extreme weather, into motel rooms this winter. In partnership with the City of Sacramento, Saint John’s Program for Real Change, as part of its vocational training program for formerly homeless women, will prepare meal kits for the effort. To manage the volume of meals needed, Saint John's is working with our other community partners to execute all meal services.

The City of Sacramento needs your help to provide more than 5,500 meal kits this winter including breakfast, lunch and dinner to our unhoused residents in emergency shelters. One meal kit, including breakfast, lunch and dinner is $36. Help provide food for our neighbors by purchasing a meal kit today!
